We went to the L.A. county fair recently. Now fairs have changed over the years. Many years ago I danced with my sister on the stage in Building 4. I still have dance issues. The fair used to have more agriculture and more livestock. Ribbons were awarded. No more ribbons. That made it competitive - can’t have that anymore.
Todays fair is more rides and calorie loaded deep fried food on a stick. Some of the choices are: bacon smores on a stick, cheese on a stick, lobster on a stick, fried chicken in a waffle on a stick, and funnel cake deep fried on a stick. Or enjoy pork belly nachos.
Need dessert? Enjoy the beef sundae, or maple bacon donut, chocolate covered bacon or oreo smores. Lots of soda or beer to wash it down. Can’t wait to see next years stick food.
